Hi there,
since a couple of days I encounter problems on my second monitor (I have 2 identical Samsung T24D391 monitors). It's blurry.
I wanted to attach 2 screenshots, one of monitor 1 and 1 of monitor 2, but the strange thing is that when I take a screenshot of the blurry screen and I display it in Paint on the good screen, it shows as no blurry??? So I can't reproduce it to show here.
I ran through this procedure:
http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896
*Check DisplayLink software is installed = OK
*Check the DisplayLink Service is running = OK
*Check the DisplayLink USB device appears in the device manager = OK (dynadock U3.0)
*Check the Product ID of the DisplayLink USB device -> see "hardware ids.jpg"
*Check that the latest graphics driver is installed -> according to the DisplayLink Support Tool the graphic driver is outdated (see "graphic driver outdated.jpg")
So I've tried to update this driver, without succes. Downloading the driver from the Intel website (
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=24329) gives this error: "intel driver error.jpg"
But the driver of my graphics card is a customized Asus Intel driver so can't be updated from Intel driver directly. Checking the ASUS graphics drivers indicates that there are 2 possible updates:
http://support.asus.com/Download.asp...X31A&p=3&s=369
Although running TechPowerUp GPU-Z shows that I have the latest driver in place (which dates already 2 years

)
(But now that I'm digging into my pc, it comes to my mind that I bought it with Windows 8 inside, but our IT department downgraded to Windows 7)
*Check that the latest USB 3.0 host controller driver is installed -> when I want to update from the ASUS driver pages, I get a message that says that I have newer drivers installed than the one I'm about to install now, so I don't install this driver...
*Still having problems after following the above steps? -> see attached zip file from DisplayLink Support Tool.
- How often does the issue occur? -> every time I start up. It began yesterday or day before. A couple of days before I have done this pc optimization for better audio performances:
http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/...for-windows-7/
I did however no changes to startup items/services
- How do you invoke the issue? It's there after starting up and screen stays blurry all the time
- How do you recover from the issue? Not, hence my question here
- Was the issue present in older versions of DisplayLink software? no
- How are you connected to the DisplayLink device? Directly or through a USB hub? Toshiba Dynadock U3.0
So any help welcome here
Thx!
