Default Almost 1GB of RAM for DisplayLink Manager?

My macOS is telling me that DisplayLink Manager 16 is sometimes using almost 900MB of RAM.

Isn't that a bit excessive?

I'd add a screenshot but the limits are set to 620x280. This is 2026, we don't have 1024x768 monitors anymore!

Hi tony359,

Key question is whether you observe this number to be periodically high, ie. while having 4 screens connected and there is at least some activity on the screens?

Regards,
Szymon

Hi Szymon,

Thanks for your reply.

I have 2 monitors connected to my Targus Dock, they run at 2560x1440.
I don't see that value so high all the time but I don't look at it all the time. I didn't realise the usage is dependant on how lively the image is on screen, I'll keep that in mind.

Right now it's 276MB but I have observed very high RAM usage more than once.
