USB3 HDD docking station not recognized on HP 3005pr

I purchased the Sharkoon USB3 Vertical Docking Single (HDD enclosure) and connected it (with a WD drive) to a USB3 port on the HP 3005pr. However, the HDD docking station is not recognized. When I connect the HDD docking station direct to the USB3 port of my laptop, everything works fine. And when I connect the HDD docking station to an USB2 port on the HP 3005pr everything works fine too. What should I do to get the HDD docking station running on a USB3 port on the HP 3005pr?
(Note: OS = Windows 8, Displaylink driver = 7.3M1)
