DoubleSight USB Monitor - Snow Leopard 10.6.0 - KAPUTT!

I am running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.0 (originally was 10.6.1 but downgraded because a user on here said it helped him...no good for me though) on an Early 2008 Macbook.

System specs are below. The monitor IS being detected in the System Profiler under USB and when I plug it in, the monitor is receiving power and turning on. The screen is ON but black, almost as if they are black pixels.

I have tried the different drivers listed to no avail. I attempted to run the DisplayLinkUserAgent but was unsure what I had to do...some user had mentioned it working for him. Wasn't sure how to do that though.

Any ideas how I can get this monitor to work? It's brand new - they literally just went on sale a week and a half ago.

What do you want me to send you?

EDIT: You mean what it says in the Terminal when I try and run DisplayLinkUserAgent? It doesn't do anything...it goes to a new line and the cursor is blinking.

Hello JMoore,

from the information you provided it's clear that the software has problems talking to the device as if something else was talking to it. I don't know any direct solution to that currently. We'll have to see internally what's the cause for this.

Is it possible that some other software on my computer is sending the device a false signal or getting in the way? You said in the PM that is should be working, right? I'm really bummed I haven't been able to get this working yet, but I did understand the risk I was taking when I bought it, knowing that the drivers were still in beta for Snow Leopard.

I tried another fresh install of the 1.5b6 driver last night to no avail. I'll try again tonight and see if there are any useful messages showing up in the Console log.
