Hi there -
I would also like to know about the fix and/or workaround. I'm using the Sony Vaio Pro 13 with the same AOC monitor and have the same issues. The monitor works fine on my old Dell Win XP laptop with USB 2.0. However, the Vaio Pro 13 only has USB 3.0 ports. I was able to get the monitor to display without flickering or freezing/refreshing by using a hub. The 3.0 portion of the Y cable is plugged into the 2.0 hub which is then plugged into a 3.0 port of the laptop. The 2.0 plug from the Y cable is plugged directly into the other 3.0 port of the laptop (the port that is capable of charging). At first glance, everything looks great. The menu bar and desktop look perfect. However, when I drag something from the laptop to the AOC monitor, the quality and aspect ratio are not maintained. Whatever I drag to the monitor appears grainy and the size of the window I moved over increases dramatically... if it only occupies 25% of my laptop screen, it expands to at least 75% of the screen when moved to the AOC monitor. My DisplayLink drivers are up to date. I hope this helps w/ your fix and possibly a workaround in the meantime! |

Hi,
Are you using Windows 8.1? That may explain the scaling issue you are seeing. Regrading the original issue reported here (flickering + freezes), this is fixed in the next release. Thanks, James |

No, I am using Win 8, not 8.1. I have updated my Intel Graphics drivers today and that did not help either. |

James - when do you expect this release to come out - I am running Windows 8 Pro on a Vaio 11 Pro and using a Targus hub. The freezing of the additional monitors and blacking out, also the loss of connectivity, albeit for around 30 seconds is frustrating to say the least.

The USB makes a connect sound every few seconds and the monitor powers up but never displays an output from the laptop.
upon examining the event I see multiple errors as follows: 'The display link manager terminated unexpectedly' Event ID 7031 |

Hi,
Yes the next release will have a fix for this issue. To those that have posted recently please check you have both ends of the Y cable attached. Thanks, James |

Hi James,
I am having the same issue on a Dell XPS 12 Haswell... with both cables connected and the latest drivers for chipset and displaylink. Do you have a release date for the fix??? |

Still on Win 8, have installed after using the cleaner as well to make sure nothing "hanging around" - have seen a couple of screen blanks, but they were very quick. So, possibly almost there.

Hi,
The next release will be out in time for the release of Windows 8.1 later this month. Thanks, James |
