Well, It isn't solved
![]() The thing keeps connecting and disconnecting every 3 seconds and never stops... The green light turns on for a few seconds and then back off... It's not a laptop, tried a few different USB ports (not on a USB hub, straight to the computer). What is up with that? |

This needs to be fixed as I am having the exact same problem on 4 different Surface 2 Pros. Never had a problem with this on Windows 8. Only on Windows 8.1. You are not alone rg12

I'm now asking for an update on this. Apologies for the delay. In Device Manager, with the dock attached, try disabling the ability on each of the USB Root Hubs for Windows to disable the device in order to save power, restart the system and see if the problem still occurs. ![]() Thanks, James Last edited by JamesH; 01-21-2014 at 06:06 PM. |

I'm appear to be having the same issue.
Windows 8.1; All Driver updates. Using a pair of dell 2340t monitor Daisy Chained to my Dell Laptop via usb 3.0 port. Dual monitors reset, renegotiate, and re-display. usually re-homing my apps onto my laptop display. The only resolve I have is to unplug one of the monitors. I do not have this issue on non-windows 8.1 Systems. Mac, Windows 8, win7 all work fine. I have tried all different driver versions, I have used the display link driver cleaner, I have tried with disabling usb power saving. I can private message you a dump of the tool if you'd like Last edited by jdavidson00; 01-21-2014 at 10:10 PM. |
