Hi James,
Any thoughts to suggestions? I appreciate that you are limited by the USB hardware manufacturer and Microsoft 8.1 drivers. As it stands the Asus MB168+ is no good, so I see two options: 1. Send MB168+ it back to supplier. 2. Downgrade to Windows 8 Right now option 2 is my preferred plan, but I guess that this may not be 100% of having a working laptop with the MB168+, but all signs show Windows 8 and displaylink is a lot more stable. Thanks! |

Hi James,
Thanks for the follow-up. I uninstalled the most recent drivers and installed v7.4 M4 as suggested. Unfortunately the problem is not fixed. I have attached the new diagnostic files. Thanks! |

Ok, downgraded via clean Windows 8 install. Happy to say display/drivers working fine. I will avoid Windows 8.1 until I know that the drivers are working.

I'm having the same issue on my Sony VAIO Multi-Flip 13A. I've sent a diagnostic file to the e-mail address (no response yet, but I only sent it this morning). The problem most commonly occurs when opening/closing/minimising/switching/maximising applications, or when moving the cursor to the other screen.
Based on what I'm seeing, this is clearly an instability in the DisplayLink software itself. Downgrading to Windows 8 isn't really an option for me, so I'm stuck with what amounts to an expensive, shiny brick until you guys sort out the software. |
