Yes. I know LinuxMint is based on Ubuntu, and in my second response I wrote that I can't login to Wayland but only to Xorg, so it didn't work with Xorg. I've already investigated all tricks suggested on this forum and nothing helped.
Finally, after I installed Ubuntu 17.10 back again (though previous one was also fresh install) it started working without any workaround. I don't know why, but it looks like something was off, and having Ubuntu reinstalled have solved that.
