Hi Alan42,
Potentially, you experienced an issue related to Dell Uxxx monitors for which there is already a dedicated thread: https://www.displaylink.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=69652 ---> a fix for it is at works. To confirm if this is the same problem, could you please check: When Dell 23 is black, does the monitor recover if you disconnect and connect the cable that connect the dock and the monitor (DP cable)? If possible, a workaround could be to connect this particular monitor using HDMI cable, while the engineering team is working on a proper fix. Regards, Szymon |

I have the problem like you describe : if I quit displaylink and start it again, the screen turn on temporarly then turn off. Unfortunatly, my screen does'nt have an HDMI, I just have DP, DVI and VGA. The Dell that is doing problem is a DELL U2311H : I can see it in the Display Manager of MacOS. The other one that is working is connected via HDMI : it's a MateView 27'. Last edited by Alan42; 09-16-2025 at 12:50 PM. |

The best suggestion, change the screen. When I bought an HDMI-DisplayPort adaptater, I tried to make it work directly with my Mac. The screen blinks, so the problem was the screen. Its ends appears at the same time as the update, I never tought that the screen was over.
