So, I currently have an expensive piece of kit (Atlona AT-HDAIR) sitting there, that I was led to believe would work on a Mac, doing nothing. Since buying it, I see they've removed the "compatible with a Mac" from the product description. Annoying to say the least.
I can confirm the same root problem here. Wisair drivers are causing the crash.

I hear your frustration, mac-compatibility without support for the latest OS doesn't amount to much. Had to chuckle when the support tech recommended I roll back to 10.6.5.

There are seemingly tons of these wireless usb to HDTV adapters out there that all use the wisair technology (see their list here). I've decided to try one that isn't on that list, the Imation LINK. Only advertises 720p -- hopefully 720p that works!
