Default IEC60601-1 Medical approval

Hi Does anyone have any experience about using DisplayLink on medical products?

In particular I would like to consider a monitor with USB only interface (no video signal cable). Does anyone know if it will be able to pass the IEC60601-1 tests. The chassis and other components I am confident in since they have already passed with a more conventional monitor design.

Thanks

It is really the responsibility of the final equipment manufacturer (e.g. monitor/display device) and not the individual components to certify the equipment is compliant.

DisplayLink, as the chip supplier, cannot state we pass or fail this. It would be the responsibility of the manufacturer supplying a product based on DisplayLink technology.
