I have the exact same problem as boskensp.
This happens on almost 1/3 of all 46 USB docks we currently own.

As we only use our external display at the office, the laptop lid is usually closed, and when the screen freezes, it can be fixed by open and closing the laptop lid.
All out laptops are HP, but 6 different models. Most of them with Intel HD3000 display adaptor, but also some with ATI or NVidia graphics cards.

Almost every laptop have a Intel processor, but two of them have AMD processor, and they freezes more often than others.

Sincerely
Christian

The notebook unfreezes and I can continue working ... not very good but on the other hand I have not a very big problem with it. However I have a HUGE problem with the blurring screen attached to the docking. It is really not amusing and very disturbing. I sometimes even have some medical issues because of it ...
Is it too much to ask to get a correct working device if you buy something?

grtz,
