Yeah same problem. XPS 13 Ultrabook using kensington (3500). Also, the screen blacks out. It's as if the docking station reboots or losses connection with laptop.

Sadly, I can't find a decent competitor for a new docking station or I would jump ship. They are all just rebranded displaylinks.

I am getting very bad lag with my Sony VAIO VPCZ1. The lag is so unbearable that I must disable video from displaylink to get it to work fine. It is running a 330M Nvidia GFX

I hope you guys can come out with an issue soon.

Default usb driver issue

hey guys,
i had the exact same problem, but i found a post which resolved my issues (almost) completly.
i'm running a HP dock with DL-3000 series on a samsung notebook.
The Notebook uses the Intel eXtensibile USB host controller.
i found more guys having performance issues using this controller under win8 with usb 3 external drives etc.
so i finally found this tutorial on how to install the original driver from intel (for win7) in windows 8. for me it solves the performance issues!
this is the link, hope it helps

Angry

This is a major problem. I am so fed up with the jumpy mouse and the fuzzy images.

Can we get SOME word on when this will be fixed? I can barely get any work done.

Ugh.

Buellllllller?

Thumbs down

I followed these instructions, now my USB doesn't doesn't work at all. I don't recommend doing this if you've got a Carbon X1 and a Lenovo USB 3.0 dock.

So much for that shimmer of hope

Default Uninstall old drivers first?

Did you uninstall your old DisplayLink drivers and your video drivers first? If so, try Driver Fusion to make sure you got rid of all the NVidia remnants. They like to hang around even after an uninstall.

the performance gets significantly worse when i disconnect my charger, even with the "new old" drivers from intel.
sorry, xijio for the inconvenience. for me it got better with the drivers but only with the charger connected. a fix / performance improvement for the DL drivers would be really nice...
