Default Problems with Dell XPS 14Z

Hi - I have just installed DisplayLink to use with a Targus ACP71EU (USB 3 docking station with power), and am using with DisplayLink release 7.6.

Initially, I could not get to work without causing a BSOD, but installed the DisplayLink compatibility checker which found that an embedded TI driver needed to be updated. I did this, and now the checker reports all is up to date.

Once completed, I can get DisplaylLnk to work, however:

a) I still get the BSOD caused by ACP_INDEX_MISMATCH if the laptop screen is up while trying to boot my laptop.

b) I get the same error if I choose the "Mirror Display" option.

I'm not as concerned about the mirror display, but am concerned about the first one, since we either have to boot the laptop, then connect, or turn on the laptop, then rapidly shut the lid!

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Colin

Hi,

As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information"

When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below.

From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool which will be in a folder called "DisplayLink Support Files" on your desktop.

Thanks,
James

Hi,

The BSOD referenced NvXDSync.exe which is part of the NVIDIA User Experience Driver.

Can you check for an update to this?

Thanks,
James
