Default AOC USB Monitor Causing All Monitors to Flash

I have a two monitor setup on an Acer desktop pc. I used the AOC E1659FWU monitor as a second monitor on my HP laptop with no problem. However, this monitor does not last more than a few minutes before it starts causing all three monitors to flash and the flashing becomes more frequent the longer it is plugged in. I have used a usb 3.0 connection, usb 2.0, one in the 3.0 and one in the 2.0, both in 2.0. Nothing lasts. I have uninstalled the Display link drivers, used the cleaner and reinstalled. I have disabled usb selective something or other. I cannot get the flickering to stop.

I uploaded the debugging logger to this thread. Thank you for your help.

I to have similar issue with AOC monitor and my new usb graphic card.
It was all working find the last few days and yesterday it flickered while dragging something and 1 of the AOC monitors seem to freeze, all 3 of the other monitors flickered and then I was down to 3 monitors working..
If I unplug the usb cable and reconnect, everything works for a few minutes and then that one flickers and freezes again and everything goes back to a 3 monitor setup.

Is there any additional configuration that is needed when installing multiple of the same usb cards? I mean they do show up in the task bar as unique devices.. is it the monitors that don't work well with the cards?

Hello,
thank you for contacting us.

Can you try following and let me know about the results:
1. make sure that you are using Y-cable to connect AOC monitor to your computer
2. update USB Host Controllers drivers and GPU drivers to the latest ones.

You may also visit this thread as it describes similar problems with this monitor:

Which Y cable?
I have the UGA35000S USB3 to DVI/HDMI/VGA Multi-Display Adapter there was no Y cable in the box, it came with USB3 cable, DVI to HDMI, DVI to VGA adapters and cd.

I have already upgraded the graphic card drivers to the latest available.

Everything works for different periods of time, after the upgrade I thought it was resolved as everything worked for over a day, then this morning it did it again.

Hello cubangt,
thread refers to AOC USB Monitor E1659FWU which can be connected via USB Y-cable. Your problem is obviously different.
Can you please attach the output file from this tool, gathered just after issue is visible:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
To do so, please run it and select "Gather Support Information".

To attach the file, please choose "Manage Attachments" under "Additional Options" in reply window. Then select "Upload" and navigate to the file which will be placed on your desktop in "DisplayLink Support Files".

BR,
Kuba

It just happened, and here is the report tool data, please keep in mind that I have a total of 4 monitor connected to my pc, 2 thru the ATI PCIe card and 2 AOC thru the USB graphics cards..

When my screen flickers, it tends to reset the monitors and only 1 stays active and working while the 2nd AOC disconnects.

Hi,

The logs are showing USB connection errors.

Can you review this FAQ for possible solutions?
