Default Displaylink failing

Hi there,

New to this forum so apologies if not complying with protocol.

Have been using Dell Superspeed D3000 for c.6 months. I had 2x units, this was the only one I could get working, and the whole process of installation was frankly a nightmare. It was only after I purchased that I became aware of the apparent propensity (at least as reflected in the forum postings) for the Displaylink modules in these units to fail for no apparently good reason.

Anyhows, this unit suddenly out of the blue failed to detect, and I have lost the extermal video and Ethernet, and seem to back to the point I was when I first failed to get the unit installed.

I attach the requested Troubleshooting files and await further assistance.

Many thanks

Thumbs up This worked for my Targus displaylink docking station

remove the power source from the docking station
remove the USB cable from your laptop
wait a few minutes......... no other action is required, just patience and a little waiting :-)
plug power back into the dock
plug docking unit into your laptop
it should detect within about 10-20 seconds

If not, you're still under warranty and within the 12 month period? Try contacting the manufacturer via the web site, or follow this thread to supply the required level of detail for support via this forum ;-). http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896
