Default Windows 10 and Targus Docking Station Problem

Hello,
I am using Windows 10 on my laptop and I have read all through this forum on running the cleaner software, re-installing 7.9 and un-powering the docking station after it could not find it and re-powering it and I still cannot get it to work. It never recognizes it. This is very frustrating and i am not sure what else to try. If anyone has any ideas please let me know

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you always had this issue or only since upgrading to Windows 10?

Its always been spotty with even Windows 7. If I disconnected from the laptop it would take 5 or 6 times of rebooting laptop and powering down docking station

I don't often have to reboot the laptop to get it to work, but the dock needs to be powered down and turned back on a few times.

When I know it isn't going to work the monitors power up and show my back ground....for 10-15 seconds and then one monitor will just show green and the other pink....literally the whole screen.
It dont even detect my monitors. They go into power save and never sense the unit at all. Its just really frustrating. I have powered it off and on 10 times last night. I also did what everyone suggested through the installer by removing it all then reinstalling and when it dont detect it unplug the unit and replug it back in a few minutes later. I cant even find Display link software on the laptop even after I installed it. No icons or nothing. I even search for it and it dont show up. The thing is going to be a paper weight soon. I need tech support and have not got a response. Thanks for your insight.

I switched back to Windows 7. Same problem. Per the article above and attachmemt i believe it needs replaced. The attachment is my docking station. Please advise on how to resolve this as this is apparently a known issue with this model.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please contact Targus in your region for a replacement dock.

Be sure to state that it is an ACP70 Item #51.

Thanks,
James
