Have problems to install the DisplayLink driver on my Win 7 Pro 64-Bit system.
After starting the setup.exe with administrator rights the compatibility check passes without an error. Then the copying process starts and then a popup message appears: "Value Acrivity could not be written under the key \Software\DisplyLink\Products\DefaultProduct\OnNew Device. Please check if you have necessary access rights to this key or contact your support personnel." (I have translated this message into english). On the popup i can press "Cancel", "Repeat" and "Ignore". Repeat leads to the same error. Ignore works, but after some presses on "Ignore" the installation stops and rolls back. All ends in the final message. No installation is done. Your system was not altered. Any ideas or hints what i have to do to get a successful installation? Best regards Sammy |

I know there is a un-install tool available.
used it couple of times when installation would not start at some computers. see attached file. |
