Hey,

If you could run the diag tool just after this occurs, this would be helpful.

The diagnostic tool will collect the crash mini-dumps (WUDF*.dmp) and we will be able to see the callstack and where the driver trips.
Because of the freeze leading to reset, this sounds like a timeout... 10 seconds matches the time Windows gives up after. Unfortunately, after 5 timeouts in a short time frame, Windows stops trying and a reboot is necessary (USB reconnect has no impact).
