Hello. If you are like me, I needed to reinstall the drivers twice because TLDR the howto..

1: did you install the prerequisite `dkms` and `libdrm-dev`?
2: did you disconnect the dock before installing the driver?
3: did you reboot at the end of the installation?

If true then

1: do you have a folder /opt/displaylink?
2: what happen if you run the installation again? Can you share the ouput?



NOTE:
I use this dock: https://www.newegg.ca/black-wavlink-...9SIACU96DW6405
Xorg has a bug [fixed] but not available right now in ubuntu/mint (july 2021). You need to keep you laptop monitor opened and active...
