Hi gang,
This is strange. I have been using an M1 MacBook Air for four years with a Dell D6000 dock and have been driving three external displays (two via DisplayPort and one via HDMI). It has worked flawlessly the whole time. Today I upgraded to an M3 MacBook Pro and now the HDMI monitor is not recognized by the DisplayLink software. Additionally, the HDMI monitor used to be active even when the DisplayLink software was not running but the dock was connected. Yet when I plug the "missing" monitor directly to the HDMI port on the M3 it works perfectly fine and all three displays act normally. This is fine but I would rather not have to plug in another port every time I dock the laptop to my workstation. Is this expected behaviour or is the D6000 out of date? I can't recall what firmware is on it as I don't have a Windows machine handy. I recall upgrading it last year. I am running DisplayLink v1.10.2 and Mac OS 14.6.1 Thanks! |
