Hi everyone!
Like the rest of you, I'm trying to get two additional monitors setup on for my Macbook Air M2. I have a Lenovo Thunderbolt dock, which I am connecting via USB-C. The two monitors are both ASUS. One is connected via HDMI and the other is connected via DP. Both monitors are on, and mirror each other (they are an extended display of the Macbook). For whatever reason, Display Link is not recognizing either of the screens and I'm receiving the "Please Connect Your DisplayLink Device". I've included a screen shot of what I'm getting. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! |

The Lenovo Thunderbolt docking station you are using does NOT have DisplayLink hardware inside it, and this is why the DisplayLink software does not detect the device. The Lenovo docking station you are using has what is known as a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport hub (aka as DP MST) inside of it. Briefly, DP MST hubs can take one video signal and split it into two separate signals. macOS does NOT support DP MST which is why both displays connected to your dock are showing mirror images of each other, and there is no workaround for this behavior. Your Mac is limited to one external display via Thunderbolt or USB-C. If you need to connect two or more external displays to your Mac, you will have to use a docking station with DisplayLink technology. DisplayLink provides a list of all products that use DisplayLink technology here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ylink-products |
