Anyone know how I can get the macbook pro to show two separate screens when connected to the dock, i've installed the display link manager for ios app and its still stuck in duplicate mode. Good thing is that the dock charges the laptops and but it showing the same single monitor on both displays. Worst case scenario is a hdmi which goes from macbook pro to monitor.

The HP G5 Docking station you are using does NOT have DisplayLink technology inside of it. As a result, the DisplayLink software will not help you. The HP G5 has what is known as a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport Hub (aka DP MST) inside of it. Macs do NOT support DP MST, which is why your displays are mirrored. There is no workaround for this behavior. For your reference, DisplayLink maintains a list of products that use DisplayLink technology here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ylink-products |
