It sounds like your setup is almost working, so don’t worry — this is usually a configuration issue, not faulty hardware.

When both external monitors mirror each other, it normally means macOS is only detecting one DisplayLink virtual display. A couple of things to check:

Open DisplayLink Manager and make sure “Enable DisplayLink Display” is active.

Go to System Settings → Displays and look for all connected screens. Sometimes macOS stacks them on top of each other, making it look like only one is detected.

Try unplugging both monitors, quit DisplayLink Manager, reconnect one monitor at a time, and relaunch the app.

Make sure your dock/adapter uses two DisplayLink chips, not one. If it has only one, both screens will mirror no matter what.

If everything above checks out, it may just be the dock limiting you, even if it claims dual-display support.

Hopefully this helps you narrow it down. Let us know what happens when you reconnect them one by one.
