Default Mac OS DisplayLink Stopped Working

Apple M2 Running Tahoe 26.3

Displaylink with Plugable 4k Displayport and HDMI Dual Monitor for USB 3.0 and USB-C. SKU USBC-69OU

Problem:

I have been running Tahoe for over a week with no issues. Worked up through Thurs the 26th. Got up friday to work, and all I get now is Please connect your displaylink device.

This is a critical piece to my workflow. The device is not showing up in my system, although the ports work with USB connections (i.e. data stick)

Seeking guidance here as this is a major disruption.

Hello,

Could you please check the following.
  1. Connect your Plugable adapter to your Mac.
  2. If macOS prompts to "Allow accessory to connect?" click "Allow".
  3. Choose "About this Mac" from the Apple menu on the top left corner of your main screen.
  4. Click on "More Info...".
  5. Click on "System Report…".
  6. The System Information application will open.
  7. Select the USB information from the Hardware category

In my case I can see the adapter listed:

In case it isn't visible, I would first make sure with local IT you are still allowed to connect USB accessories to your Mac.

Regards,
Szymon

If the process provided by Szymon does not help resolve the issue, then if you have not done so already I would suggest contacting Plugable directly for assistance --> https://plugable.com/pages/support
