Hi,
We have a use-case for an office building to equip all desks with thin clients to login to virtual desktops. At the same time some users have laptops though and would prefer to simply hook up their laptop to the monitor and keyboard. I have seen that there's a patent owned by DisplayLink for a device that can serve both purposes: thin client and docking station. It sounds like the use-case I have. Does the device actually exist though?? best, Maxim |

I think this would be a very practical approach for an office environment. A device that can function as a thin client while also serving as a docking station would make each desk much more flexible. Being able to connect a laptop to the same monitor, keyboard, and peripherals without changing the whole setup would be especially convenient. By the way, while browsing completely unrelated topics online, I also came across https://spinmama.gr/.
