Monitor shuts off and on
I have my laptop connected to the dock station along with an additional monitor. I use both displays while working and periodically the monitor will shut off, which causes my laptop to black out almost like rebooting but not completely. How can I fix this problem. It's very annoying.
Thanks rbelling |

I have a Dell XPS 13 and the goes on and off. Also, the dock loses completely the connectivity with the notebook.

Does this happen on all the notebook's USB 3.0 ports? Can you try the latest Intel USB 3.0 driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=21129 Thanks, Jmaes |

Please run through this guide: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896 As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information" It's also worth trying the "System Compatibility Check" to see if anything is flagged up. Thanks, James |

Hi, this is the file. Also, I noticed there is no Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller available for Windows 8.

Having the same issue
Hello,
I've previously owned a Fujitsu PR08 and now own a HP 30005pr. I connect two different machines, separated by a USB3 switch. With or without the switch, sometimes (frequently) it seems the USB3 adapter in the device (USB3 port dock, either Fujitsu or HP) stops working. The resolution for this is to disconnect and reconnect the USB3 cable. If it doesn't stop completely, sometimes (frequently again) the dock intermittently stops the connection, either once in a given time period, or repetitively for a duration. After exchanging my Futjisu PR08, I spent some more money and got the HP 3005pr. Exact same thing happens. The only thing in common in this failure seems to be the Displaylink chip inside both. I also bought another (3rd) laptop with great specs. On this one the issues seems to occur even more frequent. Hint for the USB connection being severed of the Displaylink chip resetting? downloads through ethernet interrupted, audio stuttering, video disconnecting. The second (later) set of log files was captured right after (actually during :|) a total device blackout. Is there any help to be given? I'm going insane here... (yes, the System Compatibility Check passed) Last edited by martijnh; 11-22-2013 at 12:46 PM. Reason: Adjust for supportability questions |
