TV showing only desktop image
Hi all. I'm running XP with sufficient RAM and with an older NVIDIA card. DisplayLink SW installed properly with no error messages. Icon shows up in task bar. I play a video and I get the video's audio through the TV however it shows my PC's desktop image (without the desktop links). If I switch to mirror and try the video again, it only produces a black screen on the TV. Then I switch back to Extend and sometimes the video and audio work although the video is choppy. Most of the time now it just doesn't work at all.
Any ideas? Upgrade to a newer graphics card? Thanks. |

Hi,
Might be worth trying the latest graphics drivers - I believe they are v93.71 Thanks, James |

James. Updated driver as suggested and the video problem is the same however my taskbar doesn't pop up when I abruptly move my mouse pointer to it. If I move the pointer slowly to the taskbar area, it then pops up. (I have "Auto-hide TaskBar" on).

Hi,
We're currently investigating the choppy video issue. What media player are you using? Is the player on the TV when you are in extend mode? Thanks, James |

I use VLC Media Player. It was the only one that worked after trying Windows Media Player, Nero ShowTime and DivX.
It only ever played a video twice and the player itself did show up (if you mean that the Windows window displayed on the TV) Nelson |
