I looked before posting but didn't see this issue, so hopefully not re-covering something you guys have already discussed.
Dell Vostro 3350 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit reboots whenever I unplug the USB cable to the dock. Using a Targus ACP51USZ dock and recently downloaded latest DisplayLink drivers from their website. When I remove the USB plug, the display on the laptop flickers and thinks about it for a moment, then the unit reboots. No blue screen, no errors, it just goes black and then you see the Dell logo as it starts. This happens without fail, every time. I have the latest Dell driver for the video and updated the BIOS to try to see it they helped but no luck. I also ran the DisplayLink Support tool and will include the zip. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! |

I can't see a related blue screen dump in your logs. Does this happen when disconnecting from the USB 2 and USB 3 port?
Without a BSOD dmp file of the event, its difficult to know where it is going wrong. Wim |

There is no BSOD, the display goes black and restarts. Can I get a meaningful log if no actual blue screen?
Yes, does this on USB 2 and 3 ports. |

I suspect it is a "blue screen" but you have the dmp information turned off. Could you turn this on by:
Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click on the Advanced System Settings on the left hand side. Click the Advanced tab. Click Settings under the Startup and Recovery area, and then select Small memory dump under Writing debugging information. Click OK two times. Then wait for a BSOD and then gather the logs after this happens. Although, before you do this, could you try v6.3 M1 and see if it is still reproducible with that release? Thanks Wim |
