Adapter Just Stops Working

Hey i have serious issues with my adapter(IoGEAR GUC2020DW6)
and Mac OSX 10.7.4

the 1.8 driver seems to make it more stable(as in the times it works last longer slightly), however there is one main problem that keeps persisting.

the adapter will work great from anywhere from 2 minutes up to an hour.

and the it just dies, and wont detect.

then follows the million unplug and replug operations with detecting.

to the get a connection, and have it die sometime randomly also.

any help here would be great

i had thought it was a power issue, but even with nothing else plugged into the imac's USB hubs, it will drop off randomly, which also eliminates a bandwidth issue.

i've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver a bunch and to no avail.

the most pressing issue here is that it drives a primary display at my church.

the adapter will however work 100% in my PC. so i have no idea what on earth is going on.
