windows cannot load the drivers required for this device

I am reposting because after one month I have not heard back from the Display Link team.
I have Windows 8 on a Toshiba Satellite A665. I have not been able to load the drivers for my display adapter and have tried everything, including all builds of Windows DL Software (and the newest one) and every other fix I can find. I have attached the log generated using the debugging tool.
