switching from computer screen to tv screen

i have connected my laptop to s hd tv via an auvio device but i cannot get the picture to appear on the tv. i did this once several months ago and it was simple = drag the netflix image off the edge of the computer screen and it appeared on the tv scra

een. what am i doing wrong this time?

Any idea on this one?I have issues as well. I would appreciate any suggestion on the correct way of doing it. Many thanks in advance.
