Default Lenovo USB3 Hub ethernet issues

I support a site that has just upgraded to T440's and X240's with a custom company Windows 8.0 x64 Enterprise image. We also bought the Lenovo USB 3 Hub for each machine. We are starting to get reports on several machines, including my own, where the Ethernet shows that the cable is unplugged. I have reloaded all the drivers, updated with DisplayLink_7.5M1 drivers and I've tried several Hubs. The network is good and works fine when plugged directly into the machine.

I have seen many machines working fine, but there may have been steps missed during the deployment process. I also remote into many machines where the user has the cable plugged in but while I am on the machine I notice the same problem but the user is on wireless and does not know the issue is there.
