Default Monitor connected through VGA, extended desktop via displaylink, VGA splitter to tv

Ok so I have an HP Slimline desktop... I have my main Monitor plugged in via the VGA port... I have my extended desktop Monitor plugged in via DisplayLink.. I purchased a VGA splitter to connect my main Monitor and my TV to mirror eachother so I can watch Movies on a bigger screen.

Now the splitter has not yet arrived in the mail but what I have noticed is this..

My TV is a Toshiba Regza and it cannot output a resolution via VGA over 1024x768.

When I have the TV plugged into the VGA, and the extended desktop monitor plugged into the DisplayLink, I receive the Unsupported Video Signal error on my TV. Only when I unplug the USB cable that connects the extended monitor via DisplayLink, will the tv come to life and show my desktop.

Is there a way that I can have both the DisplayLink showing my extended desktop and my TV acting as my main monitor on together at the same time?
