Angry software package appears to have been modified

I cannot install the Displaylink software, I keep getting the following message:

"The software package appears to have been modified"

I get this with multiple downloads and know it is something with my machine since I can install it on other machines:

DisplayLink_7.7M0.exe
DisplayLink_7.6M0.exe
DisplayLink_7.6M1.exe
DisplayLink_7.6M2.exe

I have tried the Installer Cleaner with no success after running the tool.

I have also tried multiple adapters, iogear, plugable uga and the wireless adapter - all have the same issue installing the software.

I don't want to rebuild my computer for the adapter but am hampered by not having my extra displays.

Hi,

This could be either one of two things:
1. Anti-virus software causing this - in this case please disable the AV software and try again
2. It's been affected by a virus - in this case please install AV software and try again

Thanks,
James
