I had DisplayLink running nicely on Windows 7 and the AMD Radeon HD6700 Series graphics card (v 15.7.1) on my desktop. I installed Windows 10 and everything went downhill, to the point where I had Windows 10 removed and restored to Windows 7. I was able to get everything back up and running with the exception of DisplayLink. When I click on the icon for DisplayLink, I get the following notice: "The installed version of DisplayLink software does not support this graphics card which uses a newer version of........" (can't see the rest of the notice). Graphics drivers are the latest versions and DisplayLink has latest drivers as well; not sure what the issue may be. Now the icon has disappeared from the task bar, although I can find it going into hidden icons, but I cannot get it back onto the taskbar. Any thoughts here on next steps to correct?

Hi,
Can you try running through the first section in this FAQ: http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...lation-upgrade If you're still having an issue after that please attach the output of this tool: http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...to-displaylink Thanks, James |

James, thank you; the first section cleared up my issues. I had previously deleted DisplayLink and had reinstalled latest software drivers; the one step which I missed was using the provided cleanup tool. After deleting, running the cleaner and then reloading everything, DisplayLink is running as expected. Again, thanks for the help!
