El Capitan, Parallels 11 incompatible with DisplayLink Drivers?

I am running El Capital on a 15" 2015 MacBook Pro Retina. When I connect a 17" AOC display, it works great in El Capitan, but when Parallels is launched it becomes black (and remains unresponsive unless I quit Parallels). Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

p.s. tried using the XP driver for Parallels to no avail

Hi can you check whether the USB device has been captured by Parallels?
In the devices menu the AOC monitor should not have a tick against it.

You can also check the permanent assignment in the Parallels Desktop->Preferences->Devices, making sure that any DisplayLink devices are connected to "Computer"

Running Parallels 11 with El Capitan on my 2012 MacBook Pro and haven't had any issues with displays at home or in my office. Currently running version 2.4.
