Should the Dell D3100 (USB 3) docking station work with the new Ubuntu drivers (16 May 2016)?

I want 1920x1200 for Xorg

After readin more, I see that it should. I was concerned after reading some other remarks that USB3 was not supported under Linux (even without DRM).
