System instability since 2.6 Beta

This could be a coincidence but I've noticed that after unplugging from one DisplayLink device or plugging into another, after a few system sleeps/resumes, suddenly the user CPU jumps to 99-100% (although for some reason I can't identify the process that is causing this). The system chugs to the point that a forced restart is needed

Anyone else seeing this king of thing?
