Unhappy Win10 Anniversary Edition: can no longer duplicate display

After updating to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition and DisplayLink 8.0, it is no longer possible to clone/duplicate the display of my Lenovo X1 Carbon to an external Dell monitor.

The Display Settings dialog simply doesn't offer the option to clone the display, and choosing Win+P 'Duplicate' produces a black screen.

Same setup worked fine before Win10 AE.

Already logged off/on, rebooted: same result.

Hello RVDL,

Would you please be able to have a look at the following thread?
http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64690

It seems the root cause is identical, with information I have.
Kind regards,
Alban
