Won't work when I close the lid of the laptop.

Hi,
I'm running the latest driver (March 2021), together with the latest version of Ubuntu 20.04. I have my laptop (XPS 13 9350) attached and my two MSI monitors via Displayport. All works fine, however, when I close the lid of the latop the two monitors show corrupted screens which the mouse can not work with. What could be the problem? What to do, please.
