Since last week, which was before I upgraded this morning to the beta 1.6.0 driver, I haven't been able to use my external monitor on my M1. The monitor is detected as HDMI and I got it going for a little while when the monitor was plugged directly into the second USB-C port but that was only once. It's never worked since then in my external USB hub (powered), which was working fine until recently.
Next steps for troubleshooting? |

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out! What is the monitor that you have exactly? Also you mentioned that it is detected as HDMI but it is connected to USB-C - is it a USB-C monitor connected directly into the computer? Best regards, Katarzyna

Hi,

It is an HDMI monitor that plugs into an xebec displaylink adapter that provides both power via a USB-C port on the monitor and audio+video via a mini HDMI port. The other end of the displaylink adapter has a single USB-A port which plugs into either an external USB hub and then laptop or gets converted again back to USB-C before plugging directly into the laptop. |
