Unhappy Issue playing videos from Netflix or Udemy

I am using DisplayLink as a docking station for my Macbook pro so that I can have multiple monitors. I am having issues playing Udemy or Netflix video when I connect my Macbook to LinkDisplay. Video goes black but I do get audio. How can I fix this issue?

This defeats my purpose of buying DisplayLink as I want to see tutorials on one screen and then practice on second screen.

Kindly help.

The behavior you describe is expected, as DisplayLink describes here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...y-on-mac-while

With that said, some in this forum have reported that disabling 'hardware acceleration' or 'graphics' or 'GPU' acceleration within the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser provides a workaround.

Default Getting Udemy to work

As mentioned in this thread and elsewhere, disabling graphics acceleration in Chrome DOES make Udemy work. This was successful for my wife's Macbook Pro 2020 (Intel).

However, this fix did not work for Firefox.
