Default Macbook Air M3 only - Displaylink only recognizes Display in the HDMI1 Altmode port

I have two HP527sh Displays, but Displaylink Plugable model UD-ULTCDL only recognizes the display in the HDMI1 port. I have all the latest drivers and downloads. Am i missing a step? why wont the other display get recognized?

I'm having the same trouble. I have two HP 527sf monitors and can only get one of them to work in the first instance.

I can get both to work by toggling on and off HDMI2 on DisplayLink Manager - but this only causes both external monitors to show the same thing (basically a duplicate of HDMI1) - and only the one monitor is recognised on the Displays window of system settings.

I have now tried it with another monitor on HDMI2 (HP Pavilion 23xi) and that works in extended mode and is recognised by the computer (MacBook Air M1).

Could it be something to do with both monitors having exactly the same name? Or is this a 527/monitor specific issue (and if so, why would that be?).

If you have not already done so, I would suggest reaching out to Plugable directly for assistance --> https://plugable.com/pages/support

I'm still having the same issue - is anyone able to help at all?

The dock I am using is Targus Dock 180.

To anyone else having this problem, try using a different HDMI cable. I was using the one supplied by HP, and tried it with another - now both screens are recognised.
