Default DisplayLink Drivers and J5Create Drivers

I've recently purchased a USB-C hub from J5Create. I installed the driver for this device, not realizing it was only for video. I'm using a DisplayLink device and did not plan to use video from the hub.

Since installing the J5Create drivers the monitors connected to my DisplayLink adapter perform very slowly. Moving a window, for example, over one of these monitor show very choppy.

I've tried uninstalling the J5Create drivers using the shell script they provided, no improvement.

I uninstalled DisplayLink and installed the latest version. Again, no improvement.

I discovered the J5Create uninstall shell script left a system extension named Triggers running. I disabled SIP and used systemextensionsctl to remove it. Again, no improvement.

I tried reinstalling DisplayLink again. No improvement.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct this problem?

Thanks,
Bob

Hello,

Can you please share more details I will need logfiles to check the feedback from the driver. For instructions on how to gather the logfiles please navigate to the following article How to report macOS issues to DisplayLink

And aslo for speedy support please send an email with the logfiles and detailed problem description to: technical-enquiries@synaptics.com
