Dear Users,
We wanted to give you an update on an issue many of you have been reporting on recent DisplayLink Manager versions: some UI elements in MS Teams may not appear on external screens when sharing your desktop. First off, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re really sorry for the disruption this has caused—we know how frustrating it can be, and we appreciate your patience. The reason this hasn’t been resolved in recent updates is due to the complexity of the issue. A simple rollback to the pre-1.10.x backend isn’t a sustainable fix, so we’ve been working on a workaround while also collaborating with our partners to find a long-term solution. Right now, our plan is to include a fix in the next major release, targeted for late June. This update should restore the missing functionality, though it may come with some trade-offs. We’ll continue working closely with partners to refine the solution and ensure it holds up over time. Thanks again for sticking with us—we’ll keep you posted as we get closer to release. Just a quick update on the upcoming release with a workaround for the MS Teams screen sharing issue we mentioned earlier.
We’re almost there! The release is currently going through final checks and is expected to land in early July. It’s taking a bit longer than we originally hoped, but we’re confident it’ll be worth additional wait. Thanks so much for your continued patience and understanding - it really means a lot. We know this issue has been a pain, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure the upcoming release brings the functionality you need. We’ll post again as soon as the update is live. Stay tuned!
