Which version of Displaylink?

In a Corporate environment with hot desking, I would think that we should be using the Hot Desk version of the software, but I'm getting reports from some users who have had their laptop recently replaced, that when moving between locations (Work/Home) it's not remembering the external monitor position and they have to set this up each time.

Any suggestions as to how to solve this?

Laptops in question are Dell Pro 14 PC14250, and docks in the the office are Humanscale M/Connect 2.
