Ok, downgraded via clean Windows 8 install. Happy to say display/drivers working fine. I will avoid Windows 8.1 until I know that the drivers are working.

I am seeing a similar problem to an earlier poster, but instead of a disconnect every 5 seconds, my video reset/disconnect is every few minutes.
