My WavLink USB 3.0 HDMI display adapter is not recognised when I plug it in. Originally I was using it on a W7 laptop in a USB 2.0 slot, and I had to wait ten mins before it would be recognised. I even bought a USB 3.0 adapter, no difference. Eventually that stopped working. So now I'm trying it on a Vista laptop.
I have latest DisplayLink s/w installed, and service is running. However in Device Manager I don't have any USB Display Adapter listed, not even the heading. I don't get a "bing" as you usually do when a device is plugged in. I am using a USB port on the laptop, not externally. The adapter does have a power light, which goes on. Also the monitor flickers between analog/hdmi, so some sort of signal is getting through. I've even tried a second DisplayLink adapter, identical model. Sounds like a hardware failure? |
