This started happening in the last several weeks.
- I usually set the screen to maximum brightness - Though it's still dimmer than I'd like, if at maximum, it is very usable - Recently, the screen will auto-dim itself to an unusable brightness - If I slide around the DisplayLink Manager brightness slider, it'll brighten up the screen while sliding it around, but then it'll auto-dim as soon I stop using the slider - I downloaded the most recent Mac app (Release: 13.0 | Jul 29, 2025) which I believe updates all the drivers as well? - It seems to auto-dim depending on what's on screen. If it has a lot of dark areas, it dims, if it has a lot of bright areas, it brightens up - Im using this as part of the Xebec Snap system: https://www.thexebec.com/pages/snap-story Ultimately, I don't want it to auto-dim. I just want it to stay at maximum brightness all the time. |
